This post is my direct reaction to the Persona 4 remake that is coming out next year. I want to say this. Remakes can be good when needed. They can make something old and make more easier to watch or play. Remakes could remove things that harm the originals like harmful stereotypes or bad game mechanics. Like for example the Resident Evil remake on GameCube make the first Resident Evil Game way better. More detailed graphic, modern controls, and my god better voice acting. However, it's hard to find a good remake nowadays. Yet people keep wanting another one after the other. Now even Penis: the game could have an remake call Penis: More cum edition even though I made that game up and it was probably popular for you know what. But that's how people are. As a kid, it felt like every new movie or game was magical. Now we have people saying that they are all bad and that there is nothing good because the only games they play are COD and Ubisoft games. If I have to go and hear "Gaming is dying" one more time, I'm going to scream. So people now basically flock to the past. Let me list you all the remakes of games that are known by me!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....................Resident Evil 2, 3, 4. Persona 3 reload. Dead Space. The Last of us. Xenoblade 1 definitive edition. Super Mario RPG Remake, Super Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. The Elder scrolls 4: Oblivion. Drangon Quest I forgot the name. The whole Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy. Gears of War. Silent Hill 2. Oh yeah, also the Star Wars KOTOR remake that was cancelled I think. Oh yeah, Pokemon Dimond and Pearl and Lets go Pikachu and Evee. Oh yeah and Metal Gear Solid 3 remake and I heard rumors of a final fantasy 9 and Devil May cry 1 remake......As you can see that is a bunch of remakes of games most of you probably heard of. That is all in this century, and there are probably more I'm missing. It's crazy. And these remakes do well. While I think some of these games needed remakes, most of these did not need a remake. Like really, why? Well, Nostalgia. People latch onto older media nowadays than anything new. So, it tell companies we want the same product over and over again. That's why we been getting all these remakes. Now Persona 4 makes me really mad, why you may asked? THIS GAME NEVER NEEDED A FUCKING REMAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that people have complain about somethings that are vaild like some of the little parts of the story being questionable and the dungeons. But other then that and requirements for the true final boss and the true ending, I see no point. I just think it's people who want to see persona 4 remade, because there have been people out there who have been saying it. But I want Persona 6, not 4! I hate that it's been nothing but persona 5 spinoffs and remakes of 3 and now 4 after persona 5 Royal cam out five years ago and the original Persona 5 came out 9 years ago. I'm just really tired of all these remakes. I just want to see new things and not the same things. In conclusion, I think remakes should just stop because it hurts the consumer because it's money feeding on nostalgia, and we need to stop looking at the past and move on. I'll probably make another one of these posts when I feel like it. Now I'll be remade now.
